Divinity Biddle just turned 10-years-old and for her birthday she raised $500 and took that money and bought Bibles and everything she needed to make hygiene kits, blankets, socks, mittens, and sweet treats, all because “God told me too”.
Divinity Biddle, her best friend Layla Ward, 6-year-old sister Serenity, Mom Crystal Brown, and her aunt Amanda Biddle came down to Mission Texarkana at 620 W. 4th Street on Wednesday with bags of blankets, socks, gloves, goodies, and all of the things needed for well-made hygiene kits. Divinity started collecting money for her project and raised a total of $500. The girls were all smiles while volunteering and handing out their gift bags.
Divinity’s aunt Amanda told us,
She caught us all off guard with this. She is just the sweetest blessing and we are so proud of her.
When people read the posts about her wish, people started donating money to me and her mom from our Jobs Then also Church on The Rock where Divinity goes donated money so we could buy the Bibles
Originally Divinity had wanted to hand her donations out at Church Under the Bridge, but with scheduling conflicts, she would not be able to attend this Saturday. So she chose to go to the Mission at feeding time on Wednesday. She brought Bibles, blankets, socks, gloves, sandwiches and treats to share with all that came through the dining hall.
