Texarkana-area veterans, active-duty military members, and their families are invited to attend the 28th Annual Veterans Information Fair on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the Elks Lodge #2771, located at 3702 New Boston Road. Hosted by the Texarkana Area Chapter #278 of the Vietnam Veterans of America, the event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in honor of Armed Forces Day. This free event will feature many participants offering vital services and resources, including the Texarkana VA Clinic, Texas and Arkansas Veterans Commissions, workforce agencies, veteran service officers, legal aid, hospice providers, educational counselors, and more. This Saturday, May 17, Spring Lake Park will be the site of a powerful celebration of hope and healing at the “We Do Recover” event, running from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Hosted by Recovery Road Productions and Jason Butler, this free, family-friendly gathering marks the first faith-based recovery event of its kind in the area. Attendees can expect inspiring testimonies from local individuals in recovery, uplifting faith-based music, various vendors, and a lineup of food trucks. All are welcome to come out and show support for recovery, faith, and community.
