Local Businessman Arrested and Charged with Capital Murder

A Texarkana businessman was arrested Friday afternoon and it is reported that he faces a total of three charges… Capital Murder, Criminal Attempted Murder, and Criminal Conspiracy.

William Duffer, reported to be the owner of Tri-State Pawn in Texarkana, was arrested by Texarkana Arkansas police Friday afternoon around 3:40 p.m. and was charged with Capital Murder, Criminal Attempted Murder, and Criminal Conspiracy. He was freed an hour later after posting on a $100,000 bond.

On Friday June 24, T.A.P.D. arrested William Duffer, 44 YOA, for criminal attempt conspiracy, criminal attempted capital murder, all under a capital murder charge.

Duffer was at Bi-State at a court hearing on an unrelated charge when he was arrested by TAPD. At this time the investigation is open and no further information is available.
