Local law enforcement K9 teams delivered impressive performances at the recent USPCA Region 20 Trials held in Texarkana, showcasing their exceptional skills and dedication. Texarkana Texas Police K9 Thor emerged as the Top Dog at the event, which took place last week and featured 25 police K9 teams from across Texas and Arkansas.

Thor and his handler, Officer Cole Bredenberg, excelled in multiple categories during the competition. The duo claimed 1st Place in the patrol competition and secured 5th Place in the narcotics detection category. Their outstanding achievements have earned them a spot in both the patrol and narcotics National Trials, which will take place later this year.

In addition to Thor’s success, Investigator Aaron Lewis and his K9 partner Absurd also qualified for the narcotics National Trials. The team will join their fellow officers in competing at the national level.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
