Rising Texas country artist Lucas Sousa is set to take the stage at Whiskey River Country in Texarkana on Saturday, September 27, 2025. The show runs from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., with doors opening at 7:00 p.m. The event is 21+ only, and tickets are just $9.
Sousa’s musical journey began at age 14, when he first picked up a guitar and quickly formed a band with childhood friends. After graduating from Texas A&M University in 2023, he began writing original music, drawing from his personal experiences and putting his life on paper.
His breakthrough came in 2024 when he won the Chilifest Battle of the Bands, earning him a spot at the prestigious Chilifest Music Festival. Since then, he has shared the stage with Texas favorites including Randy Rogers Band, Wade Bowen, Randall King, and Sam Riggs.
Known for his fresh, organic sound that stands apart in the Texas music scene, Sousa has been steadily building a loyal fan base with every performance.
