A late-night craving turned into an early-morning arrest after Texarkana Texas Police responded to an alarm call at Red Lobster early Friday morning.
According to the Texarkana Texas Police Department, officers were dispatched to the restaurant at approximately 3:45 a.m. Upon arrival, officers observed a 38-year-old man inside the building, seated at the bar and watching television as if it were a normal night out.
Police say one of the restaurant’s doors had not been secured, allowing the man to enter the business without force. Once inside, he allegedly helped himself to alcohol and made himself comfortable.
Unfortunately for the suspect, Red Lobster does not offer a “late-late-late night bar and TV” option.
The man was identified as Michael Carrington, who was taken into custody and charged with Burglary of a Building. He was transported to the Bi-State Jail, where officials note the bar is closed, the menu options are far more limited, and the biscuits are considerably less impressive.
No damage to the restaurant was reported, and the investigation remains ongoing.
