Man Arrested for Allegedly Damaging Multiple Teslas Across Texarkana on Little 4-Wheeler

Texarkana police arrested 33-year-old Demarqeyun Cox on Tuesday afternoon after he allegedly went on a spree of damaging Tesla vehicles across the city.

The first reported incident happened outside the Golden Palace restaurant on Summerhill Road, where a Tesla’s built-in surveillance cameras captured a man on a mini four-wheeler intentionally ramming the parked vehicle at full speed.

While officers were searching for the suspect, another call came in from the Lowe’s parking lot reporting similar damage to a Tesla. Then, just moments later, Officer Blake Lummus spotted Cox riding a mini four-wheeler near the intersection of Summerhill and New Boston Roads. Recognizing him from the earlier video footage, the officer stopped Cox, who initially provided a false name before being correctly identified and taken into custody.

Following Cox’s arrest, police received yet another report of Tesla damage—this time at Genesis Prime Care on College Drive.

As of now, Cox faces charges of felony Criminal Mischief and Failure to Identify. However, investigators are still working to determine if he was responsible for the two later incidents, which could result in additional charges.

Cox is currently being held in the Bi-State Jail as the investigation continues.
