A bridge collapsed on Miller County Road 64 that runs to River Valley Animal Foods off Highway 67 in Mandeville, Arkansas Sunday afternoon around 4:00 p.m. leaving very limited access to the pet food plant.
An unnamed contractor at the plant narrowly escaped injury as he was able to barely avoid the collapse. His pick-up truck was damaged and he was shaken up but safe.
It is reported that the county will begin work to repair the collapsed bridge immediately.
