0

The great people with the Miller County Extension Homemakers Club have been busy busy crafting for comfort for patients at our local hospitals. From crocheting red toboggan caps for newborns, to crafting breast cancer pillows.

Press Release:

With 40 active members in Miller County, the Extension Homemakers Club has been busy crafting.
Crafting, not for aesthetic purposes, but comfort.

Among some of the items crafted and donated by the Miller County EHC are knitted/crocheted red
toboggans for babies born in February. EHC members from Miller County and Polk County have worked together to create these caps which have been delivered to local hospitals.

A much more long-term project that the Miller County EHC has undertaken is making breast cancer
pillows. These pillows have been donated to 2 local hospitals, cancer center, and care facilities in various locations. Over 100 pillows have been donated by this club alone.

Miller County EHC members love to volunteer and are engaged in many projects and community events.
