    New Scout Executive Named for Caddo Area Council

    Anthony Escobar will be joining the Caddo Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America as Scout Executive effective January 15, 2017. Anthony and his wife Cheryl are excited to call Texarkana home.

    anthony-escobar-jpg-222x300Please join us in congratulating Anthony Escobar as Scout executive of the Caddo Area Council in Texarkana, Texas, effective January 15, 2017.

    Anthony began his Scouting career as a district executive at the Sequoia Council in Fresno, Calif. He moved on to become the district director with the Conquistador Council in Roswell, N.M. He was promoted to field director of the Golden Spread Council in Amarillo, Texas, and went on to serve as assistant director of field service at the Heart of America Council in Kansas City, Mo.

    Anthony and his wife, Cheryl, are looking forward to moving to Texarkana.

    Anthony joins in partnership with the volunteers and staff of the Caddo Area Council to deliver quality Scouting experiences to the young people of the communities they serve.

    After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
