Get ready to swing, serve, and score for a great cause! The Junior League of Texarkana’s Provisional Class is set to host the 2nd Annual Battle of the Paddle on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the Southwest Center, located at 3212 W. 7th Street in Texarkana, Texas.

This co-ed paddleball tournament is open to participants 18 and older, welcoming players of all skill levels to compete in a fun and friendly showdown. Matches will be held on both indoor and outdoor courts, with outdoor play subject to weather conditions.

Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Texarkana Children’s Advocacy Center, an organization dedicated to supporting children affected by abuse and neglect.

With paddles in hand and a spirit of community in the air, competitors will battle it out while making a meaningful impact. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just looking for a new way to get involved, this tournament promises a day of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and charitable giving.

For more details on how to sign up or support the cause, stay tuned for updates from the Junior League of Texarkana.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
