Yesterday at a local Walmart a woman tried to avoid possible shop-lifting charges by claiming two of her minor male relatives had gone to the restroom and not returned. She obviously didn’t think this one through all the way.
After receiving a tip that a jailer was smuggling contraband into the Bowie County Jail. When searched, Brandy Denise Coulter was found to be in possession of weed and tobacco. Coulter has been arrested and charged with a Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility and booked into the jail. She declined to cooperate with the investigation. Coulter’s bond has been set at $75,000.
Bowie County Investigators report that Jessica Stotts, 36, from Texarkana Arkansas has been arrested and charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance Over Four Grams and Under 200 Grams. Her bond has been set at $40,000.
Even with a big smiley face sign that reads, “Smile You’re on Camera” it appears that a UPS Driver decided to help himself to some 40 bucks worth of ID Life Hydrate Products that were left on a customers doorstep.
It is time again for the Hottest Festival in Texas as thousands turn out to celebrate the 49th Annual Pioneer Days in New Boston. One of the area’s favorite celebrations will feature amusement rides, foods, crafts, and live music from some great local talent and headliner Moe Bandy.
Harold Gene Spicer is behind bars this afternoon in the Bi-State Jail accused of Voyeurism of a Child Under 14 Years of Age. Spicer is a registered sex offender and was identified by security footage that showed the 63-year-old looking into a young child’s window.
The Texarkana Texas Police Department is investigating a shooting in the 1600 block of W. 16th Street. Police report there was a small get together at the home when 3 men with covered faces demanding money. One man was shot multiple times.
