What began as a compassionate initiative by Abby Road Texarkana has blossomed into a city-wide effort to support the Texarkana Animal Care and Adoption Center. Throughout the past month, Abby Road Texarkana encouraged customers to donate pet supplies, offering discounts in return, and matching the total amount raised.
Encouraged by this generosity, numerous local businesses eagerly joined the cause, transforming the initiative into the upcoming “Puff Puff Paws Celebration Event”. Scheduled for Saturday, September 7th, 2024, from Noon to 3pm at Abby Road Texarkana, the event promises a fun-filled afternoon for families and their pets, all in support of the Adoption Center.
Attendees can look forward to meeting adoptable animals, enjoying donuts, coffee, and snow cones, exploring a silent auction with items valued at $2000, and indulging in treats from local food trucks and restaurants. Activities such as face painting, CBD education for pets, and the distribution of goodie bags add to the festive atmosphere.
“We’re thrilled to see the community come together like this,” said organizers from Abby Road Texarkana. “This event wouldn’t be possible without the support of our wonderful partners.”
Participants include Hippie Hounds, Old Tyme Burger Shoppe, Graham Slam Bakery, Texarkana Harley-Davidson, Bubba’s 33, and many more local businesses dedicated to making a difference.
