A Texarkana man is facing multiple felony charges following a shots fired investigation that began Monday morning in the 900 block of Grand Avenue.
According to the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department, officers responded to a shots fired call at approximately 10:28 a.m. on May 25, 2026. When officers arrived on scene, they located several spent shell casings in the roadway.
Police said no injuries or property damage were reported, despite multiple adults and children being present in the area when the shots were fired.
Witnesses provided officers with the name of the suspect, identified as 33-year-old Deon Bell, along with a description of the vehicle he reportedly used to leave the scene.
Later that same day, at approximately 12:06 p.m., officers were dispatched to a large disturbance at a residence in the 3400 block of Parrish Circle. Upon arrival, officers observed the suspect vehicle connected to the earlier shooting investigation.
Authorities located Bell at the residence and took him into custody without incident.
Bell was transported to the Miller County Detention Center where he was booked on 11 counts of aggravated assault and six counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.
The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department credited both responding officers and community members for their assistance in quickly identifying and locating the suspect.
All suspects in any investigation should be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
