This Saturday, November 14 there is a day full of fun and entertainment for everyone in the family. Beginning at the 1894 Gallery with “Second Saturday Trade Day” and Nutcracker Extravaganza. The Veterans Parade will take place, the Friends for a Cause host “Rock Out Cancer” at Crossties.
The day starts with “Trade Days” from 9 am to 3 pm on the sidewalks and street in front of the 1894 Gallery with vendors selling lots of holiday goodies, jewelry, baked goods, and more. The Texarkana Community Ballet “Nutcracker” performers will be there in full dress for photos from 10 am to 12 noon. From 1 pm to 2:30 pm special guests, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for the kids to take photos with. Inside the 1894 Gallery, there will be hundreds of Nutcracker decorations on display, and some of them are available to purchase.
At 11 am, the Veterans Parade will take place. The final parade route should be finalized today, and we will post all information. The construction on Broad Street is an issue, but arrangements are being made.
From 3 pm to midnight at Crossties, Friends for a Cause will host the “Rock Out Cancer” concert event featuring 5 bands and a steak dinner catered by Silverstar Smokehouse. This is the FFAC second-ever Rock Out Cancer Concert. One night. Five bands performing live music. Excellent food. All to help us raise money for cancer patients in our community. $50 per ticket which includes dinner from Silver Star. Limited availability and tickets are on sale now.
