Second Annual Texarkana Catfish Festival Happening this Weekend


Downtown Texarkana will be hosting the second annual Texarkana Cajun Catfish Festival Friday, June 30 and Saturday, July 1 with food, fun, live music, and family fun activities for all ages.

The 2nd an nual Texarkana Cajun Catfish Festival will begin Friday June 30, 2017 and close out Saturday July 1, 2017. This two-day festival featuring Southern Fried Catfish and Cajun eats and various contests with prizes. The event will include live blues performances from several different artists as well as a little bit of rhythm and blues from a few bands.

It will not only feature catfish and Cajun foods, but also include a variety of food vendors. Art & Craft vendors and local entrepreneurs are allowed to vend as well.

Bringing the life back to our city’s downtown area is our ultimate goal and the Texarkana Cajun Catfish Festival is just the first step.
