The Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Shelby McKenzie, 21, of Hope, Arkansas. Mckenzie is considered armed and dangerous. Mckenzie is the suspect in the theft of a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado and an AK-47. Mckenzie is believed to be in the company of Destiny Harvel a white female. She is a suspect in the theft of a handgun from another residence in Hempstead County.

Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information as to the whereabouts of Shelby McKenzie white male 21 years of age, 5’9, 160, Blonde hair, Blue eyes, has a Tattoo under his right eye, a suspect in the theft of a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado Arkansas License Plate # 658-PFD. And theft of an AK-47 and a Suspect may be in the company of Destiny Harvel a white female. Who is a suspect in the theft of a Walter p-22 handgun from another residence in Hempstead County, McKenzie is believed to have access to both the AK-47and Handgun. He considered armed and Dangerous and users of Methamphetamine May possibly be in Texarkana Area.
On September 4, 2017 at approximately 11:45 a.m., Deputies were contacted by William Putz at the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a vehicle theft.
William stated he left the keys in his gray 2013 Chevrolet Silverado Arkansas LPN 658-PFD in his driveway. William stated there was a trailer with a lawn mower hooked to the truck. William stated the trailer was unhooked from the truck; and the truck was stolen. William stated he believes Shelby McKenzie took the truck to go pick up a female.
William stated the truck belongs to Salt Creek Cable from Benton, Arkansas. William stated the truck had a full tank of fuel and another seventy gallons of full in the fuel tank in the bed of the truck. William stated he did not know what time the truck was taken, but knows it was after 12:30 a.m. September 4, 2017.
William stated the truck is a gray 2013 Chevrolet Silverado Z-71 and it has a 12-inch led caution light on the top of it. William stated there is a black tool box and a white fuel tank in the back of the truck.
On September 4, 2017 at approximately 10:30 a.m., Deputies were dispatched to 840 Highway 355 East in reference to a stole firearm. Upon arrival, Deputies spoke with Eric Lacaze. Eric stated that Destiny Harvel was staying with him since August 26, 2017. Eric stated when he woke up this morning, Destiny and her belongings were gone. Eric stated he is also missing a one-hundred-dollar bill and a O.D. green Walther P22 semiautomatic pistol, serial number WA132410. Eric stated the pistol was loaded.
Eric stated Destiny was logged on to Facebook on his phone and he saw messages where Destiny was talking to Shelby McKenzie. Eric stated that he and Destiny were not in a relationship at this time; and he was letting her live there. Eric stated he does not know where Destiny would have taken the firearm, but believes Destiny is using methamphetamine. Eric stated Destiny does not have a vehicle and does not know who came and got Destiny from his residence.
