In a harrowing turn of events, Texarkana Police were called to the 2300 block of N. Stateline this afternoon following reports of a stabbing. According to the authorities, the incident occurred around 1:36 PM after what seemed to be an extended altercation between multiple individuals in the business’ parking lot.
Upon arrival, law enforcement was met with a chaotic scene. However, through diligent investigation, detectives pieced together elements of the confrontation. It was revealed that the victim, during the altercation, found himself pursued by a knife-wielding suspect into the roadway. Tragically, the victim was struck by a southbound vehicle on Stateline after the pursuit, sustaining at least one stab wound to the neck.
The victim’s transport to the hospital was facilitated by a private vehicle. As of now, the condition of the victim remains undisclosed, with hopes pinned on a speedy recovery.
At the scene, police swiftly apprehended the suspect, who now faces charges of Aggravated Assault.
