A student at Texas High School in Texarkana amputated one of his hands today in one of the construction department programs per Tina Veal-Gooch, TISD Director of Public Relations.
We asked for a statement and she replied,
This afternoon there was a student who suffered a hand injury while in one of our construction department programs. The student, accompanied by Texas High School Principal Brad Bailey, was transported to CHRISTUS St. Michael Hospital. Parents were notified and were with the student when last updated.
The Texas High Online Site Tiger Times reported that the student had “accidentally amputated his hand in the performing arts center”.
