Texarkana Arkansas Police officers were called from a neighborhood National Night Out event to investigate the discovery of a body in the 2300 block of Washington Street.
T.A.P.D. officers discovered the body of a male, believed to have died from a fatal gunshot. Police believe this to possibly be a suicide, but an investigation continues.
Officers from the T.A.P.D. were attending more than a dozen different National Night Out events across Texarkana Arkansas on the night of October 4. It is reported that police were summoned from an event just blocks away from Washington Street after the body was discovered.
