The Texarkana Texas Fire Department responded to an early morning blaze in the 1500 block of Nolthenius Street at 5:15 a.m., the strtucture was fully engulfed when units arrived on scene.
Neighbors report that the home was abandoned and that no utilities were connected to the house. Witnesses also report that homeless people had been staying in the building and speculate that they may have been staying inside last night to stay out of the rain and get warm.
The building is a total loss, and the fire is under investigation.
