TAPD reports that they responded to Arkansas High School this morning and met with TASD School Security who reported receiving information of a 17-year-old juvenile who had made a recent threat of a school shooting.

On Friday, April 27, 2018, at 11:00am Texarkana Arkansas Police Department responded to 1600 Jefferson Ave, TASD Arkansas High School, in reference to a threat report. Upon arrival contact was made with TASD School Security who reported receiving information of a 17 yoa juvenile who had made a recent threat of a school shooting. During the time of the report, TASD Security advised police of receiving additional information that the suspect juvenile was possibly on campus.
TAPD immediately began to search for the juvenile and located him at his place of residence.
This investigation is ongoing by the Threat Intelligence Detective.
