Shooting sports are booming in the Ark-La-Tex, and Rocky Creek Outdoors is at the forefront as a world-class shooting range in Texarkana, Arkansas. Now, local marksmen and outdoor enthusiasts have the perfect opportunity to test their skills while supporting a great cause.

The Texarkana Animal League (TAL) is gearing up for its 1st Annual Clay Shooting Competition on Saturday, April 5, 2025. This inaugural event will be held at Rocky Creek Outdoors, promising a day filled with friendly competition, camaraderie, and support for animal welfare.

Proceeds from the competition will directly benefit TAL’s rescue efforts and community programs. At any given time, the organization provides care for over 60 cats and dogs, along with offering vital services such as a Low-Cost Spay & Neuter Program, an Emergency Assistance Program, a Food Pantry, and Educational Programs.

Texarkana Animal League is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and caring for abandoned, abused, neglected, and unwanted companion animals. Their mission extends across Bowie, Miller, Cass, and Little River Counties, making a difference in the lives of animals and the people who love them.

Participants and supporters are encouraged to join this exciting event, whether as shooters, spectators, or sponsors. Don’t miss out on a fantastic day of clay shooting and fundraising to help TAL continue its life-saving work in the community.

For more details on registration, sponsorship opportunities, or how to support the event, visit Texarkana Animal League’s website or their Facebook Event Page.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
