To provide residents with an opportunity to address outstanding legal matters, the Texarkana Arkansas District Court has announced an Amnesty Program aimed at resolving warrants for arrest.
This initiative not only offers a chance for individuals to settle their legal obligations but also presents a substantial financial incentive.
The District Court currently holds warrants for various offenses, including Failure to Appear Warrants and Probation Violation Warrants. To take advantage of the Amnesty Program and save $350, individuals are required to appear in person at 100 N. Stateline, located on the 1st floor of the Bi-State Justice Building. The payment must be made in full to have the warrant lifted, and the additional $350 charge will be waived.
For those unable to pay in full, an alternative option exists. Individuals can be served on the warrant, and a court date will be scheduled to address the legal matters at hand. This inclusive program also extends to cases where a driver’s license has been suspended, providing an opportunity for license reinstatement.
The Amnesty Program offers a limited-time window for resolution, with the deadline set for April 15, 2024. This initiative is designed to encourage individuals with outstanding warrants to come forward and rectify their legal standing.
For more information or to clarify any queries related to the Amnesty Program, interested parties are urged to contact the Texarkana Arkansas District Court Office at 903-798-3016 or 3017. Additionally, inquiries can be directed to the Probation Office at 903-798-3241, 3243, or 3018.
Texarkana Arkansas aims to make the legal process more accessible and provide a path towards resolution for individuals facing outstanding warrants. The Amnesty Program reflects a commitment to fairness and offers a chance for the community to address legal matters proactively.
