It is time for BACK TO SCHOOL! These sure are uncertain times, and a lot to be worked out as we all try to learn our way forward. We do know the dates that our local schools will be returning to class. We also know that school zone traffic fines can eat your lunch for days.
BACK TO SCHOOL SCHEDULES:
WEDNESDAY AUGUST 11
THURSDAY AUGUST 12
MONDAY AUGUST 16
TUESDAY AUGUST 17
You can always submit information to share at firstname.lastname@example.org
With kids heading back to class, you should be giving extra attention to school zones because local law enforcement will be, and fines in a school zone can be huge, as they should be. Watch your speed, no cell phones… BE CAREFUL!
TTPD has issued some tips to remember with School Bus traffic:
Most area kids are headed back to school this week, so here’s a quick reminder about what do when you see a school bus stopped on the side of the road.Of course, we all know that we’re supposed to stop for school buses whenever they are loading or unloading students. However, there seems to be some confusion every year about if that is an absolute rule – or if there are exceptions.Basically, you’re supposed to stop every time unless you are on a road divided by an unpaved median or barrier and the bus is stopping on the other side of the median. You have to stop any other time you come upon a bus with their red flashing lights on.
