Thanksgiving weekend and there is a lot of fun to be had in Texarkana! Thanks to our community partners at Whiskey River Country Club and Tony Langford Roofing here is a rundown of the best entertainment in town for November 28 & 29!
The Texarkana Toys for Tots Parade returns Sunday, November 30, kicking off at 10 a.m. from Central Mall and rolling across the city to collect toys and donations for local children. Started decades ago by beloved biker Dwight Neville, this tradition continues in his honor as riders of all ages join in to support Toys for Tots and keep his legacy alive. Entry is just a $5 donation or a new unwrapped toy, with all gifts going to the Texarkana U.S.M.C. Toys for Tots Donation Center. After completing the citywide route, participants will return to Central Mall to drop off toys in the official collection boxes.
The CPKC Holiday Train rolls back into Texarkana on Sunday, November 30, arriving at the West 4th Street crossing around 4:45 p.m. with a free outdoor performance by Smash Mouth. Now in its 26th year, the brightly lit rolling stage brings music, holiday magic, and a mission of giving, raising millions for food banks across North America since 1999. Families are encouraged to bring non-perishable food or monetary donations, and early arrival is recommended for the popular 30-minute show that has become one of Texarkana’s favorite Hallmark-movie-style holiday traditions.
