Celebrate the close of a remarkable season with the Texarkana Symphony Orchestra as they present their grand finale, Masterworks III: Springing Forward, on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the historic Perot Theatre. The evening promises power, precision, and passion, featuring world-renowned pianist Norman Krieger, whose artistry has earned high praise for its technical brilliance and refinement. Audiences will experience a dynamic program including Southern Air, Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 16, and the groundbreaking The Rite of Spring—a revolutionary work known for its raw energy and lasting impact on modern music. Beginning with a concert preview at 6:10 p.m. and the performance at 7:00 p.m., this season finale is the perfect opportunity for both longtime symphony lovers and first-time attendees to experience an unforgettable night of live orchestral music. Tickets are available through the Perot Theatre box office or online at texarkanasymphony.org.

Laugh! Comedy is back in a big way this weekend downtown at the 1923 Banana Club with two nights of nonstop laughs on April 24 and 25. After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
