Making big plans for this weekend in Texarkana? A huge celebration planned for the fairgrounds, lots of great live music is scheduled for the weekend of June 19 & 20. Thanks to our community partners at Tony Langford Roofing Company, Whiskey River Country Club, and Hot Tails Crawfish, here is the list of your best bets.
Texarkana’s annual Juneteenth Celebration is planned for Saturday, June 20 at the Four States Fairgrounds in Texarkana, Arkansas. Gates open at 5:00 PM with the festival kicking off at 6:00 PM and running through 11:00 PM. Enjoy an evening of Southern Soul, Blues and R&B featuring Jwonn, DJ Godfather, Donnie Ray, Michael Rhodes & The Jive Band, DJ Hollygrove, and Jack Forte. There will also be food and retail vendors, family-friendly activities, a kids’ playland, and a fireworks show to wrap up the evening. Admission is $5 for ages 3 and up, with children 2 and under free. Presale tickets are available online and at the Fairgrounds Box Office for quicker entry.
