    Texarkana Police Investigating Early Morning Shooting on Milam Street

    The Texarkana Texas Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred early this morning around 2:15 a.m. in the 1500 block of Milam Street. Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area and received a second 911 call reporting that a victim had been found in front of an apartment.

    The victim, a 17-year-old male, had been shot multiple times. Officers immediately provided lifesaving assistance before the victim was transported to Wadley Regional Hospital. He was later transferred to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock. His current condition is unknown.

    Detectives are actively investigating the incident and working to identify the person responsible. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Texarkana Police Department at 903.798.3116. You can remain anonymous and share information thru Crimestoppers by calling 903.793.STOP (7687).
