It’s time to grab your market bags and your early morning coffee—because the Texarkana Farmers Market is back and ready to bring the flavor to downtown!

The market officially kicks off its 2025 season this Saturday, May 3, at 8:00 a.m., centered around the historic downtown post office at 500 N. Stateline Avenue. This year’s theme, “Peace, Love & Produce,” promises a summer full of fresh food, community spirit, and vibrant local energy.

Market-goers can expect plenty of opportunities to meet their local farmers and makers, filling baskets with farm-fresh produce, locally made goods, and unique artisan creations. From juicy tomatoes to handcrafted treasures, the Texarkana Farmers Market aims to offer something for everyone.

Organizers encourage the community to “rise and shine” with their favorite growers bright and early. Whether you’re shopping for fresh ingredients, supporting local businesses, or just soaking in the good vibes, the Farmers Market is a can’t-miss event for families and foodies alike.

The market will continue throughout the summer season, bringing the best of local agriculture and craftsmanship to the heart of Texarkana every week.

So set those alarms—lazy farmers need not apply!—and get ready to kick off the season with Peace, Love & Produce this Saturday!

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
