Texarkana is preparing to let the good times roll as Mardi Gras 2026 takes over downtown Texarkana on Saturday, February 7, 2026, bringing a full day of music, food, parade excitement, and New Orleans–style energy to the community.
Festivities will kick off at 10:00 a.m. at Front Street Plaza, where vendors will open for the day offering food, drinks, and local goods. The plaza will remain open until 8:00 p.m., serving as the hub for live entertainment, DJs, and celebration throughout the day.
Organizers say this year’s event will be bigger than ever, featuring live performances all day, two stages rotating nonstop entertainment, and some of the hottest DJs from surrounding areas. Attendees can also expect more contests, more activities, and plenty of classic Mardi Gras flair — or, as they put it, more lagniappe.
The highlight of the day, the Mardi Gras Parade, will line up at 2:00 p.m. before rolling through Broad Street at 3:00 p.m. sharp. Parade-goers can expect colorful floats, beads, music, and high-energy crowds as the celebration winds its way through downtown.
“Get your friends, coworkers, and family together, build those floats, and come par-tay,” organizers said, encouraging community participation and creativity.
With beads flying, drinks flowing, bass thumping, and funky vibes filling the streets, the event promises to deliver a true NOLA-style Mardi Gras experience — right in the heart of Texarkana.
Organizers also teased that the 2026 Mardi Gras Grand Marshal will be announced soon.
