Texarkana Toys for Tots Parade Returns November 30 Continuing a Tradition Started by Dwight Neville

One of Texarkana’s longest-running holiday traditions returns on Sunday, November 30, as the Texarkana Toys for Tots Parade 2025 rolls out to bring cheer, toys, and community spirit to local children. The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. at Central Mall, 2400 Richmond Road, and will follow a large citywide route before returning to the mall for gift drop-offs.

This beloved parade, which invites riders of all ages, has deep roots in the community. It was started many decades ago by Dwight Neville, a well-known local biker and tireless advocate for children in need. Each year, countless participants ride not only to support Toys for Tots, but also in memory of Dwight and the biker parade he created to ensure area kids had a brighter Christmas. That legacy continues to grow as more riders join annually, honoring both the cause and the man who sparked it.

Participation is open to everyone, with entry consisting of either a $5 donation or a new unwrapped toy. All funds, toys, and gifts collected will be distributed through the Texarkana U.S.M.C. Toys for Tots Donation Center, helping provide Christmas gifts to local children who might otherwise go without.

    2025 Parade Route

    • Start at Central Mall, 2400 Richmond Road

    • Proceed to Richmond Road, cross I-30 to St. Michael Drive, turn left

    • Turn left onto University Drive

    • Turn left onto Hwy 82 (New Boston Road)

    • Turn left onto Hwy 71 (State Line Avenue)

    • Turn left onto Texas Blvd

    • Turn right onto 40th Street

    • Turn left onto Summerhill Road

    • Turn right onto Kennedy Lane

    • Return to Central Mall to end the parade route

Upon returning to Central Mall, participants are asked to drop off their toy or monetary donation in the official Toys for Tots collection boxes.

Organizers remind riders to follow all safety laws and exercise caution throughout the event. This is an authorized police-escorted parade, and all vehicles must have current insurance.

The Texarkana Toys for Tots Parade remains a powerful symbol of generosity, tradition, and community — a chance to give back, remember Dwight Neville’s lasting impact, and help ensure every child in the region wakes up to Christmas joy.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
