The Texarkana Area Veterans Council is calling on the community to rally like never before for this year’s Veterans Day Parade, set for Saturday, November 8, 2025. Organizers say they want to make it the biggest and most memorable Veterans Day Parade in Texarkana history — and they’re hoping to pack the streets with more spectators than participants for the first time in years.
The parade will step off at 11:00 a.m. sharp from the intersection of East Broad and Hazel Streets. Parade entries will begin lining up at 9:30 a.m., and the invitation is wide open for all area organizations, schools, churches, businesses, and individuals to join in honoring local veterans.
“This is your official invitation,” said a spokesperson for the Veterans Council. “Whether you’re marching, riding, or waving from the sidelines, we need our community to show up and show out for the men and women who’ve served this nation.”
In a special tribute to military history, parade participants for 2025 will have the option to select one of several commemorative themes for their entry, including:
-
250th Birthday of the U.S. Army
-
250th Birthday of the U.S. Navy
-
250th Birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps
-
80th Anniversary of World War II
-
50th Commemoration of the End of the Vietnam War
The Veterans Council hopes these themes will inspire creative, meaningful displays that honor the sacrifices of generations of American service members.
To sign up for the parade or request more information, contact 877-824-4862 or 903-556-1613.
Even if you don’t participate, organizers urge residents to line the streets, wave your flags, and show our veterans how much Texarkana appreciates their service and sacrifice.
“Remember our veterans, support our troops, and let’s give them the parade they deserve.”
