The community will come together on Saturday, November 8, for the annual Texarkana Veterans Day Parade and Extravaganza, a full day of celebration honoring local veterans and their families. This year’s event is dedicated in memory of Lt. Colonel Don Ruggles, recognizing his service and legacy in the region.
Festivities begin downtown with the Veterans Day Parade at 11:00 a.m., featuring floats, local organizations, marching bands, and a patriotic display of community pride. After the parade, the celebration continues with food, family fun, and live entertainment throughout the afternoon — all free of charge until 4:00 p.m.
This is the 2025 Parade Route, that will be the old-school long march up and past the steps of the downtown Federal Building. For 2025, we really would love to see folks all along the route, but especially at the post office.

As the sun sets, the energy shifts to Front Street Junction, where Country music star Tracy Lawrence will take the Michelob Ultra Stage for a special evening concert. Jesse Jenkins & Friends will open the show before Lawrence brings his chart-topping hits to Texarkana.
Tickets for the concert are available now at TracyinTexarkana.com.
