Texarkana’s Virtual ‘Save Jane’ Event is Thursday August 13

This Thursday the Texarkana Children’s Advocacy Center will host “Save Jane” is a child abuse awareness event with the goal of spreading awareness about the magnitude of child abuse, and about the organizations working in the field. This event will focus on the more than 1,200 children served by CASA Texarkana. Here are the details.

    Virtual Event Page:

On August 13, 2020 at 10:00 a.m., local volunteers and community members will join the Texarkana Children’s Advocacy Center and CASA for Children Texarkana in taking a stand against child abuse through a live video on their Facebook pages with the first-ever Save Jane event.

Leaders from around Texarkana will read the names and ages of over 1,200 children who were reported as abused and received services through the Children’s Advocacy Center and CASA in 2019. Because these children are minors and their identities must be protected, “Jane Doe” and “John Doe” will be used in place of their names. The Save Jane inaugural event launched in Dallas last year. This is the first year for the Children’s Advocacy Center and CASA to join in the awareness effort.

The Texarkana Children’s Advocacy Center and CASA would like to invite everyone to view this event live on their Facebook page and even start a Watch Party on their own timeline to help spread the word.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
