Best time to save some money on Back to School Shopping is with the Tax-Free Weekends in Texas and Arkansas. Texarkana residents can price shop and take advantage in Arkansas August 5 – 6, and in Texas the weekend of August 11 – 13.
Time to take advantage of that tax-free shopping when gathering school supplies, school art supplies, school instructional materials, clothes and footwear (less than $100 per item), and clothing accessories (less than $50 per item).
Looking at the lists, computers, and software are not tax-exempt during these weekends.
