Texas country music fans will have a chance to catch one of the state’s fastest-rising young artists this weekend as Luke Prater takes the stage at Whiskey River Country Club on Saturday, June 6.
The La Vernia, Texas native has been steadily building a loyal following across the Lone Star State with his blend of traditional country storytelling, strong guitar work, and gritty vocals. Prater has spent the last several years touring extensively, performing more than 100 shows annually while sharing stages and touring with established Texas country artists, including Curtis Grimes.
Prater first emerged on the Texas music scene in 2018 and has continued to gain momentum with a growing catalog of original music. His debut full-length album, Pickin’ and Grinnin’, was released earlier this year and has helped introduce his authentic Texas country sound to an even wider audience. The album’s title track, featuring Curtis Grimes, has found success on Texas country radio charts.
Music industry observers have praised Prater’s blend of traditional country influences and modern songwriting. His recent single, “Take That Chance,” marked his first major national promotional release and showcased the style that has made him a favorite among Texas country fans.
Saturday night’s show at Whiskey River Country Club promises an evening of live Texas country music and dancing as Prater brings his energetic live performance to Texarkana.
Tickets will be available at the door or online through Whiskey River Country Club’s website. For ticket information and event details, visit WhiskeyRiverCountry.com.
