Texas recording artist Josh Ward is headed to Texarkana for a live performance at Whiskey River Country Club on August 4, 2026.
Known for his hard-driving brand of traditional Texas country, Ward has built a loyal following with a career defined by one simple philosophy: “All grit and no quit.”
That mindset has taken Ward on quite a journey—from a difficult adolescence and time on the rodeo circuit to working in the Texas oil fields and eventually becoming one of the most successful artists in the Texas country music scene.
Ward has scored 13 consecutive No. 1 singles in Texas and built a growing audience well beyond the Lone Star State. His music has earned millions of views online and millions of streams worldwide, while his relentless touring schedule often sees him performing more than 200 dates a year.
His rise accelerated with the success of the album Holding Me Together, which produced six consecutive No. 1 singles on the Texas Regional Radio Chart. Ward quickly transitioned from opening shows to headlining his own concerts across the country.
Along the way, fellow Texas country artist Cody Johnson introduced Ward to new audiences on the West Coast. When Ward later returned to those markets on his own, he found himself performing to sold-out crowds.
Ward has released multiple albums throughout his career, including More Than I Deserve, an 11-track collection that continued the sound his fans have come to expect—traditional country music with plenty of steel guitar, fiddle, two-stepping energy and songs rooted in real life.
The album featured contributions from some well-known musicians and songwriters, including John Carroll, Nate Coon, Milo Deering and Terry McBride.
