Texas Governor Announces Texas to Re-open 100 Percent on March 10

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has announced that he is ready to re-open Texas 100%. Abbott is lifting the statewide mandate on facemasks beginning on March 10, 2021. The Texas Tribune reports that Abbott believes it is time, saying, “people and businesses don’t need the state telling them how to operate”.

With less than 10% of Texas residents receiving any of the available vaccines and a continuous daily death rate of 200+, many are still confident that now is the time to get back to full-time business and to some sort of normalcy in the State.

The Texas Tribune posted that Abbott has declared that beginning Wednesday, March 10, masks would no longer be required in public and that “all businesses of any type are allowed to open 100%”.

Still, the smart money is on being safe and to continue taking extra precautions against contracting or spreading COVID 19, or the flu, or RSV, or strep, etc…

Wash your hands, continue to practice social distancing, use a mask in crowded spaces. Not only are COVID vaccinations available thru the Christus Vaccine Center, but at Walmart, Albertsons, Drug Stores, Clinics, and other sources are available. Get on any list you can, and get yours as soon as you are comfortable.
