A new feature from the Texarkana Texas Police Department is “TTPD Tidbits” where they share many interesting facts from behind the scenes. This week’s tidbit is surprising, or is it?

TTPD Public Information Officer Shawn Vaughn releases some interesting facts through department social media platforms. This week was some stats on arrests from 2022 that at first, we thought these numbers were kind of shocking, but then maybe not so much. Check out what he posted…

    Media Release:

Of the 2,975 arrests that we made last year, 2009 of them had previously been arrested locally for some other offense. 939 were currently out on bond, which means that they’d not yet been to court on a previous – and more than likely recent – arrest. There were 240 people that were already on probation for something else that they did when we arrested.

Yep, we deal with basically the same people over and over and over and over.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
