The Twin City Black History Association (TCBHA) is set to celebrate Black History Month with its annual Black History Parade on Saturday, February 22, 2025, in downtown Texarkana. This year’s theme, “We Are One, Education is Our Priority!”, highlights the importance of unity and learning in the community.

The parade will kick off at 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Hazel and Broad Streets, with participants lining up beginning at 12:30 p.m at the Beech Street Baptist Church Parking Lot. Parade marshals will be on hand to assist with organization and ensure a smooth start.

Individuals, schools, businesses, and organizations interested in participating can RSVP, complete a registration form, or download a hard copy by visiting TCBHA’s website.

    For additional details, contact:

    • Anderson Neal Jr. at (501) 425-0899
    • Joe Daniels at (903) 826-3597
    • Email: parade@tcbha.org

This annual event is a cornerstone of Texarkana’s Black History Month celebrations, drawing families, community leaders, and organizations together to honor the rich cultural heritage and contributions of Black Americans.

Mark your calendars and plan to attend this vibrant celebration!

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
