    Two Arrested in Burglary of Disabled Elderly Victim’s Home

    Two people have been arrested in connection with the burglary of an 82-year-old disabled victim’s home. James Glen Lafayette, 42, and Camela D. Lafayette, 45, have bee arrested and charged with residential burglary.

    Press Release:

    The Milller County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into a residential burglary which occurred at a residence located on Highway 82 in Texarkana, Arkansas where miscellaneous items valued in excess of $3,000 were stolen.  That investigation lead to the arrest of 42-year-old James Glen Lafayette and 45-year-old Camela D. Lafayette.

    The Sheriff’s Office began the burglary investigation in July 2017 after it was reported by the 82-year-old disabled victim.  Investigators worked diligently and long hours and were able to subsequently have warrants issued for the Lafayette’s and recovered some of the stolen property.  Both were arrested and charged with Residential Burglary and are currently being held at the Miller County Correctional Facility.
