On Saturday afternoon, Texarkana Police responded to a distress call at Central Mall under the guise of an “assist an ambulance” situation. What was initially reported as a man having a seizure inside the mall turned out to be a shocking case of a vicious attack resulting in severe facial trauma.
Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered that the victim, an employee at Central Mall, had been brutally assaulted. Police have been diligently working on the case throughout the weekend, piecing together the events leading up to the violent incident.
According to the investigation, an older female Central Mall employee had confronted two unsupervised teenage boys who were misusing children’s strollers available for rent. When she reprimanded them for their behavior, the teens responded with verbal abuse. The victim, also a mall employee, intervened to protect the woman and instructed the boys to leave.
The assailant, seemingly upset that someone had intervened, returned moments later with the two boys. Confronting the victim, he unleashed a sudden and unprovoked attack. The victim was punched in the face, causing him to fall backward. The assailant, showing no remorse, continued to strike the victim at least four more times while he lay unconscious on the floor. The assailant then nonchalantly left the mall with the boys, seemingly indifferent to the severity of the situation.
The victim suffered serious injuries, including a concussion and multiple broken orbital bones around his eyes. Initially transported to a local hospital, he was later transferred to a hospital in Little Rock due to concerns about the extent of his injuries. Despite the severity of the assault, the victim has been released from the hospital and is now recovering at home.

Texarkana Police are seeking assistance from the public in identifying the assailant. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Texarkana Police Department at 903-798-3116 or Texarkana Area Crime Stoppers at 903-793-STOP. The authorities emphasize the importance of community cooperation in bringing the perpetrator to justice and ensuring the safety of the public.
