After assessing storm damage in Bowie County, the National Weather Service reports that two separate tornadoes did the damage just southwest of Dekalb on Sunday night.
One tornado, determined to be a category F2, left a damage trail seven miles long southwest of DeKalb. The second tornado was also southwest of DeKalb along Highway 259. The second tornado damaged a number of homes and destroyed some chicken houses. Some minor injuries were reported, but thankfully, other than some livestock, no loss of human life reported.
