The much-anticipated 48th Annual Hope Watermelon Festival is just around the corner, promising a weekend of fun, food, and entertainment from August 8th to 10th at the Hope Fair Park. The festival will feature a variety of activities for the whole family, culminating in a performance by country music star Rodney Atkins on Saturday night.
The festivities kick off on Monday, August 5, with the Watermelon Festival Parade at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Watermelon Festival Pageant on Tuesday, August 6, inside the Klipsch Auditorium at 6:00 p.m.
The festival hours of operation are as follows:
- Thursday, August 8: 12 p.m. – 9 p.m.
- Friday, August 9: 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
- Saturday, August 10: 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Attendees can look forward to beloved festival vendors, a kids’ zone, the Watermelon Olympics, The Rusty Wheels Engine Show, “Watermelon by the Slice,” a dog show, a treasure hunt, a softball tournament, a cornhole tournament, and an array of live music performances. The highlight of the event will be Rodney Atkins’ concert on Saturday night.
Rodney Atkins, known for his heartfelt lyrics and energetic performances, will headline the festival with a concert that promises to be an unforgettable experience. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at www.hopemelonfest.com or at the Chamber of Commerce. General admission tickets are $25 for adults, with day-of-show tickets available for $30. Children’s tickets are $10, and reserved seating tickets are $45.
