Arkansas Governor Asa Hitchinson as issued new mandates to his state’s disaster declaration that includes closing bars and restaurant dining rooms, gyms, and K-12 schools until April 17. All in the state’s efforts to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19.
Among Governor Hutchinson’s new directives…
- K-12 Schools will be closed until at least April 17
- Government employees will telecommute with onsite work by limited personnel.
- Hospitals, clinics, and mental health facilities are mandated to screen staff and visitors with temperature and symptom screening.
- Gyms and indoor venues are closed to non-essential functions.
