Texarkana CDC Guidelines ‘Mask or No Mask’ Poll Results

Out of curiosity, we posted a poll on our Texarkana FYI Facebook page asking “Are you practicing CDC Guidelines regarding masks, social distancing, and handwashing?”… the answers were simply yes or no. Here are the results.

Having gone to the Walmart on New Boston Road just the other day, very few people were wearing masks, folks were just piling in on top of one another. It seemed that all had forgotten about COVID 19, not to mention cases of flu and other sicknesses.

This was just a Facebook poll, so we are going to say “unofficial”… but 1,291 Facebook users responded. Out of those that responded 62% or 797 said yes, they are practicing the CDC guidelines in place to mitigate the spread of COVID 19. 494 people responded with ‘no’.

In fairness, there was no option for other answers, like “sometimes” or “I wash hands but no mask”… simply yes or no.

We hope you and yours stay healthy and don’t have to deal with any of the coronavirus, stuff, but we also hope you are being proactive to stay safe.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
