Shooting Sporting Clays has always been big around these parts, especially with the bird hunters, but more and more people are getting in on the action. One of the finest trap courses in the region is Rocky Creek Outdoors. With the growth in popularity, there is a growing list of events scheduled.
As for me, it’s not old age, but the mileage on me that keeps me from shotgunning the way I used to do it, so now I use a pistol shooting sporting clays. Out at Rocky Creek they call it “The Judge Challenge”. If you aren’t familiar with it, the Judge is a handgun chambered to shoot .410 shotgun rounds. Try it!
