    10-30-2020 – Updated COVID 19 Numbers for Texarkana Area

    There are currently 544 active cases of COVID 19 in Bowie County, 66 active cases in Cass County, and 162 active cases in Miller County. Currently, our Texarkana Hospitals are strained to capacity, and flu season is here. This is the latest information from the Texarkana Joint Operations Center. You can always visit coronatxk.org or call the local hotline at 903.255.5560.

    Miller County reports a total of 1227 total cases with 1051 recoveries and 14 fatalities.

    TEXARKANA, TX— Bowie County Emergency Operations Center reports 37 new cases since Thursday, October 29, 2020 for a total of 1,978 positive COVID-19 cases, with 81 deaths. The Department of State Health Services is reporting 1,353 recoveries. There are currently 544 active cases in Bowie County.

    Cass County added 4 new cases and currently has 537 total, with 448 of those recovered, and 23 fatalities. Cass County currently has 66 active cases.

    Through the end of the year, free testing will be offered Monday- Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Texarkana- Bowie County Family Health Center at 902 W. 12th Street, Texarkana, TX 75501. There are no requirements for testing (residency included), oral swab with results in 48-96 hours, and pre-registration available at www.gogettested.com.

    The testing facility is closed today, Friday, October 30th due to an interruption in water service. It will reopen tomorrow morning, October 31st at 9:00 a.m.
