First Assembly of God – Lighthouse Ministries, located at 3401 W. 7th Street, will be presenting their 6th Annual Drive-Thru Nativity Scene from Friday, December 11 at 6 pm to Sunday the 13th at 8 pm.

WE ARE BACK!!! Come join us for our Sixth Annual Drive Thru LIVE nativity and be reminded of the true reason for this holiday season. There will be over 100 people in costume bringing alive the story of Jesus’ birth! Your journey will begin before you even enter the parking lot as you will be greeted by shepherds and sheep looking for baby Jesus.
Upon entry into the grounds, you will be given an option of two lines: the no contact line or the traditional line. The no contact line is new this year and it’s available as an option to those who want to social distance and limit interaction. The no contact line will be given the option to receive a brochure with QR codes to use throughout the journey in lieu of rolling windows down and interacting. The no contact line will not receive Hot Chocolate. In the traditional line you will be greeted with Hot Chocolate (candy canes for the little ones).
You will see animals: Sheep, Cows, Mules, Goats, Chickens, CAMELS & more. You will be required to take a census & pass your gold coin to the Roman Soldiers in order to gain entrance into the City of Bethlehem. When you drive through the Bethlehem Marketplace, you will feel as if you have stepped back into the pages of the Bible. Your Journey to Jesus will culminate with an awe inspiring scene of our Savior’s Birth. All of this is possible without leaving the comfort of your vehicle.

Texarkana, TX 75501In past years we have had around 3,000 people drive through the live nativity over the two night event. In Previous years we implemented changes to our traffic plan to help reduce the wait time. We will continue with these changes this year:
– There will be two lanes of traffic driving through the nativity instead of a single file line.
– We will not offer a Fast Pass Shuttle Service due to COVID.
~ We are also advertising that 8 passenger vans & shuttle buses will be allowed to “fast pass” to the front of the line as well.
Our goal with these changes is to be able to reach as many people as possible & reduce the wait times. We are trying to encourage more carpooling, therefore less cars & shorter wait times.There are other exciting changes coming as well, so please save the date! First Assembly of God is blessed to be able to give back to the Texarkana and surrounding area.
